Descripción:
In accordance with Act 125 of May 7, 1942, as amended, and Regulation 8981 of PRPA Bids and Request for Proposals, the Puerto Rico Ports Authority (PRPA) is requesting competitive bids from contractors, for the project referenced above.
The project consists of the complete removal of existing roofing/waterproofing system at BQN Airport Main Terminal Building's roof, the installation of a new Fluid-Applied Roofing System; along with the waterproofing of all exterior building envelope including walls, parapets, façade elements, windows, doors and glazing by using elastomeric wall coatings and joint sealants. Other works such as removal and disposal of roof-mounted HVAC units, replacement of existing water cisterns and related components, and relocation of existing electrical and telecommunications conduits and wiring are part of the project. All works shall be in accordance with Drawings, Specifications and other Bid Documents.
Bidders of this project shall submit the Proposal, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders contained in the Contract Documents, on or before March 20, 2025 at 10:00AM.
A non-compulsory pre-bid meeting will be held on February 12, 2025 at 10:00AM. (Local PR Time - AST). This pre-bid meeting will be held at PRPA Offices Conference Room, Main Terminal Building, Rafael Hernández International Airport (BQN), Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. The project site, including the building roof and surroundings, will be visited as part of the conference. PRPA strongly encourages prospective bidders to attend the pre-bid conference.
In order to participate, bidders should request bidding documents and drawings, by filling and submitting copy of the bidder's registration form, included as part of this advertisement, to the following email, JATorres@prpa.pr.gov until February 19, 2025 at 4:00 PM.. Bidding documents and drawings will be available for request and distribution after January 29, 2025 at 12:00 PM. Bidders are advised that they must be registered as possessors of the contract documents for the project and possessors of all such amendments.
Date limit for Requests for Further Information (RFI) is March 5, 2025, at 4:00 PM. RFI should be addressed by email to the following address: JATorres@prpa.pr.govl.
The Bid Opening will take place on March 20, 2025, at 10:30 AM at the Conference Room of the Puerto Rico Ports Authority, Central Office, at Isla Grande, San Juan, PR. All bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud by the Bids Board at the same day of the Bid Opening.
The project is conditioned upon the receipt of federal funding under provisions of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Certain mandatory federal requirements apply to this solicitation and will be made part of any contract awarded. The successful bidder must submit to the Puerto Rico Ports Authority the required contract documents within ten (10) working days after the date of the Notice of Award.
