Descripción:
El Departamento de Educación de Puerto Rico (DEPR), por medio de la Oficina de Sistemas de Información (OSI), tiene la responsabilidad de proveer mantenimiento básico de la red (BMIC, por sus siglas en inglés) de las escuelas y espacios no-instruccionales del sistema público. Algunos de los componentes de la red y los servicios de BMIC son elegibles para ser sufragados por el programa federal E-Rate, que provee descuentos a escuelas K-12 y bibliotecas en Estados Unidos y sus territorios. Para participar de dicho programa, es necesario realizar un proceso competitivo que permita evaluar las opciones de contratación del DEPR. Esta Solicitud de Propuestas incluye los siguientes servicios:
Basic Maintenance of Internal Connections (“BMIC Services”) for (a) BMIC GROUP #1: E-Rate Eligible Sites, Products and Services and (b) BMIC GROUP #2: E-Rate Ineligible Sites, Products and ServicesBMIC Network ServicesThe purchase, installation and configuration of new Network Switches Inventory Management (Asset Tracking and Logs, Inventory Storage and Maintenance, Moves, Adds and Changes, Decommissioning and Disposal of Obsolete or Surplus Equipment and Reporting)
The Puerto Rico Department of Education (PRDE), through the Office of Information Systems (OSI), is responsible for providing technology equipment and basic maintenance of internal connections (BMIC) of schools and non-instructional facilities in the public system. Some components of the BMIC and network services are eligible for funding under the federal E-Rate program, which provides discounts to eligible K-12 schools and libraries in the U.S. and its territories. To participate in this program, a competitive process is required to evaluate PRDE contracting options. This Request for Proposals includes the following services:
