Descripción: This project consists of the modernization works of the existing building. Construction works include the demolition of one (1) level structure (area: 3,240 sf) composed of concrete floor slab, honeycomb walls, metal columns and lightweight metal ceiling structure with asphalt laminate on wood roof and of a new one (1) level concrete block and metal (area: 5,040 SF). The new design will include a new space layout to meet current design criteria and accomodate open bay dormitory; plumbing equipment for the toilets and shower areas; new laundry facility within the structure; and a common lobby area for 32 soldiers. The construction will include new electrical system including energy saving fixture with motion sensors and mechanical systems that comply with current energy savings standard. Finish grading and landscape of the adjacent areas including the replacement of 6 trees.

Scope of work, specifications, instructions to bidders and all necessary information prepared by Construction and Facilities Management Office (CFMO) may be obtained at Joint Forces Headquarters (JFHQ), Puerto Rico Army National Guard (PRARNG) #100 Esteves St. Puerta de Tierra, San Juan, Puerto Rico. Delivery will be made within period of 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Each proposal must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the corresponding amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid price. bond capacity is required for proposal submission. A site visit will be held on June 9, 2016 right after completion of pre-bid meeting. The bidders will have until June 20, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. to submit any question in written. Questions must be sent to yasmara.rios2.nfg@mail.mil It is the bidder's responsability to contact CFMO to confirm receipt of their request. Bidders shall submit their proposal at the JFHQ, CFMO, #100 Esteves St. Puerta de Tierra, San Juan, Puerto Rico. Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Conference Room of the CFMO on June 29, 2016 at 10:15 a.m. Attendance of pre-bid meeting, site visit and pick-up of bid documents (scope of works, specifications and instructions to bidders) are mandatory to submit the proposal.
