Descripción: The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, acting through the
Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTOP), seeks to receive
technical and commercial proposals from interested and qualified companies for
the right to access and use duct space within an existing UG conduit
infrastructure, owned by DTOP, for the installation, construction and operation
of fiber-based telecommunication networks, that would allow for deployment of
broadband services. Moreover, DTOP and
the JRTPR want to stimulate the construction of telecommunication systems and
establishment of advance telecommunication networks that use fiber cable as
their main transmission medium for deployment of broadband services of 1
gigabit per second (Gbps) or faster speed.
