Invitation for Bid
In accordance with Act No. 44 of June 21, 1988, as amended, and Regulations for Procurement 5853 of Puerto Rico Infrastructure Financing Authority (“PRIFA”) for Regulations for Procurement approved September 9, 1998, the PRIFA’s is requesting competitive bids from contractors, for the following project:

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING SERVICES
WORLD PLAZA BUILDING
MUNICIPALITY OF SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO
The World Plaza building is located at Muñoz Rivera Avenue Hato Rey which is comprised of about 23 floors including basement and roof. It is a structure that accommodates office space and retail space. The building has a rentable area of approximately 338,000 square feet. It also includes an annex building of six (6) floors used for parking and an area for auto bank. The main entrance doors are located at the Plaza level which access is provided thru an escalator or an access bridge from the parking structure to Plaza level, both remain open during the same hours of operation of parking.
The work to be performed consist of cleaning all areas of the structure, included but not limited to access area, lobby, loading area, parking, offices and shops. It also includes a recycling plan for offices and shops. The work for this project is detailed in the Bid package.
Bid packages will be available for purchase from Tuesday, July 29, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to Tuesday, August 5 until 4:00 p.m. at PRIFA’s offices located on 268 Muñoz Rivera Avenue in World Plaza building, Fourth Floor, Hato Rey. Bid packages will have a non-reimbursable cost of $100.00 payable to the Puerto Rico Infrastructure Financing Authority with certified check or money order. Payments in cash will not be accepted.
The mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at PRIFA’s offices located on 268 Muñoz Rivera Avenue in World Plaza, Hato Rey, 17th Floor.
All formal bids must include a bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the maximum bid value. All bids received, will be publicly opened and read aloud by the Board of Awards at the 17th Floor Conference Room, at the Proposal Submittal Due Date. Additionally, in accordance with Law Number 85 of June 18, 2002, the contractor shall submit an Eligibility Certificate from the General Services Administration. PRIFA reserves the right to accept or reject any bids and to recommend to the Executive Director the bid’s award under the most favorable conditions to PRIFA.
