INVITATION FOR BID
In accordance with Act No. 44 of June 21, 1998, as amended, and Regulations for Procurement 5853 of Puerto Rico Infrastructure Financing Authority (“PRIFA”) for Regulations for Procurement approved September 9, 1998, the PRIFA’s is requesting competitive bids from contractors, for the following project:

IMPROVEMENTS TO S.U. HECTOR I. RIVERA SCHOOL
MUNICIPALITY OF ADJUNTAS, PUERTO RICO
 

S.U. Hector I. Rivera School offers middle school education and is located in the rural area of the Municipality of Adjuntas. This project involves improvements to existing buildings, facilities, rehabilitation of areas and the performance of repairs to common areas. The work will be consisting in the retrofit  of  existing  buildings,  including  but  not  limited  to  demolitions,  repairs, renovations  and  upgrades  to  its  building  envelope, mechanical,  electrical  and plumbing  infrastructure,  landscaping  and  site  related  issues;  and  complete rehabilitation of classrooms, offices and related activity rooms including finishes, lighting, windows and doors. The work for this project is detailed in the plans and specifications attached as part of this Bid package.

 
Bid packages can be collected since November 22, 2013 from 2:00 pm at PRIFA’s offices located on 268 Muñoz Rivera Avenue in World Plaza building, Fourth Floor, Hato Rey.  Bid packages will have a non-reimbursable cost of $20.00 payable to the Puerto Rico Infrastructure Financing Authority with certified check or money order. Payments in cash will not be accepted.

The mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at PRIFA’s offices located on 268 Muñoz Rivera Avenue in World Plaza, Hato Rey, 4th Floor Engineering Department Conference Room.
 
All formal bids must include a Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the maximum Bid value.  Additionally, in accordance with Law Number 85 of June 18, 2002, the contractor shall submit an Eligibility Certificate from the General Services Administration. PRIFA reserves the right to accept or reject any bids and to recommend to the Executive Director the bid’s award under the most favorable conditions to PRIFA.
 
All interested contractors must comply with the Bid packages provisions and they will be responsible to deliver the documents before bid submission deadline.
