Descripción:
Improvements to Special Vocational Training Center ( CAVE for its Acronym in Spanish), the CAVE is a special education school serving students after high school levels ages, 16 to 21 yearslocated in the Municipality of Vega Baja, PR at PR 155 km 65. Consist of three (3) classroom buildings and one (1) building with administrative offices and a basketball court, for a total of four (4) buildings. CAVE offers life independence courses and three vocational workshops to provide skills and responsibilities to increase the job potentials of a total of 114 students. The structures of the building No. 1 and No. 2 are steel main frame, roofed with galvanized zinc. The building No.3 is a concrete structure. The basketball is roofed and laterally open. The work will be consisting in architectural works, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, structural, civil and general works (including painted, roof treatment, stormwater management system, health etc). The work for this project is detailed in the plans and specifications attached as part of this Bid package.

Bid packages can be collected since December 27, 2013 from 2:00 pm to Monday, January 13, 2014 until 4:00 p.m. at PRIFA’s offices located on 268 Muñoz Rivera Avenue in World Plaza building, Fourth Floor, Hato Rey. Bid packages will have a non-reimbursable cost of $20.00 payable to the Puerto Rico Infrastructure Financing Authority with certified check or money order. Payments in cash will not be accepted.
All formal bids must include a bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the maximum bid value. Additionally, in accordance with Law Number 85 of June 18, 2002, the contractor shall submit an Eligibility Certificate from the General Services Administration. PRIFA reserves the right to accept or reject any bids and to recommend to the Executive Director the bid’s award under the most favorable conditions to PRIFA.
All interested contractors must comply with the Bid packages provisions and they will be responsible to deliver the documents before bid submission deadline.
