In accordance with Act No. 44 of June 21, 1988, as amended, and Regulations for Procurement 5853 of Puerto Rico Infrastructure Financing Authority (“PRIFA”) for Regulations for Procurement approved September 9, 1998, the PRIFA’s is requesting competitive bids from contractors, for the following project:

DESIGN / BUILD
SANITARY SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS – CROEM SCHOOL
MUNICIPALITY OF MAYAGÜEZ, PUERTO RICO
The Scope of Work for the Project consists of the design and construction of a new Sanitary Pump Station at the site of the Centro Residencial de Oportunidades Educativas de Mayagüez (CROEM), located at State Road PR-349 km 6.9, Rosario Ward, Mayagüez. Construction of all associated structures, pumps, piping, electrical, instrumentation and appurtenances is included as part of the work, as described on the Bid specifications and Report entitled Informe Preliminar de Ingeniería - Estudio de Alternativas para la Corrección de las Condiciones Existentes del Sistema Sanitario del Centro Residencial de Oportunidades Educativas de Mayagüez.
Bid packages will be available for purchase from July 15, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to July 22, 2014 until 4:00 p.m. at PRIFA’s offices located on 268 Muñoz Rivera Avenue in World Plaza building, Fourth Floor, Hato Rey. Bid packages will have a non-reimbursable cost of $100.00 payable to the Puerto Rico Infrastructure Financing Authority with certified check or money order. Payments in cash will not be accepted.
The mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at PRIFA’s offices located on 268 Muñoz Rivera Avenue in World Plaza, Hato Rey, 17th Floor.
All formal bids must include a bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the maximum bid value. All bids received, will be publicly opened and read aloud by the Board of Awards at the 17th Floor Conference Room, at the Proposal Submittal Due Date. Additionally, in accordance with Law Number 85 of June 18, 2002, the contractor shall submit an Eligibility Certificate from the General Services Administration. PRIFA reserves the right to accept or reject any bids and to recommend to the Executive Director the bid’s award under the most favorable conditions to PRIFA.
All interested contractors must comply with the Bid packages provisions and they will be responsible to deliver the documents before bid submission deadline.
