DESIGN / BUILD
IMPROVEMENTS TO JUANITA RIVERA ALBERT SCHOOL
MUNICIPALITY OF VIEQUES, PUERTO RICO
The Juanita Rivera Albert School located in the Municipality of Vieques, Puerto Rico at State Road 997, KM. 2.2 in Barrio Esperanza. The existing school, consiting of six (6) concrete-frame buildings and a gazebo, is currently configured as a typical elementary school. The purpose of the renovation and construction work shall be the transformation of the exisiting school into a Montessori Educational setting.
The work to be performed as part of this project includes design and construction of two (2) building additions for the location of new classrooms, new administration areas and support spaces. Some minor renovations shall be performed to the existing structures. The construction of plazas, sidewalks and ramps will also be part of the construction work package. The work for this project is detailed in the drawings and specifications attached as part of this Bid package.
Bid packages will be available on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. until Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at PRIFA’s offices located on 268 Muñoz Rivera Avenue in World Plaza building, Fourth Floor, Hato Rey. Bid packages will have a non-reimbursable cost of $100.00 payable to the Puerto Rico Infrastructure Financing Authority with certified check or money order. Payments in cash will not be accepted.
The mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at PRIFA’s offices located on 268 Muñoz Rivera Avenue in World Plaza, Hato Rey, 17th Floor Conference Room.
All formal bids must include a bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the maximum bid value. All bids received, will be publicly opened and read aloud by the Board of Awards at the 17th Floor Conference Room, at the Proposal Submittal Due Date. Additionally, in accordance with Law Number 85 of June 18, 2002, the contractor shall submit an Eligibility Certificate from the General Services Administration. PRIFA reserves the right to accept or reject any bids and to recommend to the Executive Director the bid’s award under the most favorable conditions to PRIFA.
All interested contractors must comply with the Bid packages provisions and they will be responsible to deliver the documents before bid submission deadline.
