REVITALIZACIÓN DEL MALECÓN DE NAGUABO
MUNICIPALITY OF NAGUABO, PUERTO RICO
In accordance with Act No. 44 of June 21, 1988, as amended, and Procurement Regulation Number 5853 of Puerto Rico Infrastructure Financing Authority (PRIFA) approved September 9, 1998, the PRIFA’s is requesting competitive bids from contractors, for the project referenced above.
The Seafront Revitalization Program consists of the revitalization of eight (8) seafront locations throughout Puerto Rico, focusing on job creation and establishing new destinations along the seafront with a variety of uses: recreational, contemplative, cultural, and recreational congregation.
This Project, the second of eight (8), consist of the revitalization of approximately 850 linear feet of Naguabo’s seafront. Access to the project is through PR 3 State Road. The area that encompasses the project is mostly flat and previously impacted by construction. It is delimited at the west by the ruins of El Castillo del Mar, the Caribbean Sea to the south and the PR 3 State Road to the north and the east.
Works include but are not limited to: redefinition of the geometry of the seafront, public restrooms, outdoor facilities for cultural events, rain garden systems that also serves as planting areas (xeriscape landscaping), lighting, street furniture and commercial spaces. All work to be performed will be according to contract documents.
Bid packages can be collected since May 30, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. until June 6, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at PRIFA’s offices located at 268 Muñoz Rivera Avenue in World Plaza building, Fourth Floor, Hato Rey. Bid packages will have a non-reimbursable cost of one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) payable to the PRIFA with certified check or money order. Payments in cash will not be accepted.
The mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at PRIFA’s offices located at 268 Muñoz Rivera Avenue in World Plaza, 17th Floor Conference Room. All formal bids must include a bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the maximum bid value. All bids received, will be publicly opened and read aloud by the Board of Awards at the 17th Floor Conference Room, at the Proposal Submittal Due Date. Additionally, in accordance with Law Number 85 of June 18, 2002, the contractor shall submit an Eligibility Certificate from the General Services Administration. PRIFA reserves the right to accept or reject any bids and to recommend to the Executive Director the bid’s award under the most favorable conditions to PRIFA.
