Descripción:

The project consists of a design and build for a floating pumping station in the Guajataca Dam to assure the required raw water supply for the PRASA Water Filtration Plants that depend of this source through the Derivation Channel and Guajataca River, all according to the scope of work and specifications prepared by the PRASA.​This project will benefit approximately 71,714 families in the municipalities of Isabela, San Sebastián, Aguadilla, Aguada, Moca, Rincón, Quebradillas y Camuy.

​Sealed bids will be received by the Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (PRASA) at the third floor of the Infrastructure Offices, located at 618 Barbosa Avenue and Mayagüez Street, Hato Rey, Puerto Rico 00917-4310. All bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud on the Bid Conference Room located in the aforementioned place.  Prospective bidders are hereby advised that to be eligible to submit a proposal for these projects, they must attend a pre-bid meeting and purchase a full set of the bid documents from PRASA.   All questions arising concerning these projects shall be submitted ten (10) calendar days before their respective bid opening dates. In compliance with PRASA requirements, all bidders must include with their bids a certification from the Bidder Registration Office of the General Service Administration (Registro Único de Licitadores de la Administración de Servicios Generales) indicating they are eligible to participate in bids from Agencies of the Government of Puerto Rico Executive Branch.   Bidder shall gain access to the downloading of digital documents (PDF) on the above specified date through the PRASA DATA BIDS website, www.aaasubastas.com, upon payment to the cashier on the fourth floor of PRASA's Central Office, 604 Barbosa Avenue, Hato Rey, Suite 411 with cash, postal money order, certified check, ATH, Visa or Master Card in the amount specified for each project and not later than the deadline time, individually specified, prior to the bids opening. Postal money order or certified check shall be drawn to the order of PRASA.  Bidding Documents shall not be returned and payment will not be refunded. Hard copies or CD's shall not be provided by PRASA. PRASA has issued this advertisement in compliance with the public policy of the Government of Puerto Rico as established in Art. 3 of Law No. 42 of January 21st, 2018, “Ley de Preferencia para Contratistas y Proveedores Locales de Construcción".  Law No. 42-2018 states that all governmental entities are required to reserve at least twenty percent (20%) of procurement and construction contracts to services rendered by Local Business or Providers of Construction Services, as defined in Art. 2(B) and (C) of said law. PRASA affirms and recognizes this preference policy, therefore Law 42-2018 applies to all bidding processes conducted at PRASA. Bidders that comply with all the requirements and parameters established in Law 42-2018 will have the right to claim PRASA to apply the percentage of preference at the adjudication of bid.​
