In accordance with Act 125 of May 7, 1942, as amended, and Regulation 8981 of PRPA Bids and Request for Proposals, the Puerto Rico Ports Authority (PRPA) is requesting competitive bids from contractors, for the above-referenced project.
The project consists of the installation of security equipment in buildings with access to the operational area of the airport.  The electrical service for this equipment will be provided by a photovoltaic system, which construction is part of the scope of works. The solar panel array must be able to supply a 2,500-watt load and to charge two storage units in a period of 5.5 hours simultaneously. The storage system must supply the load demand during the period when there is no sunlight. All in accordance with schematic drawings and technical specifications.
Bidders of this project shall submit the Proposal, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders contained in the Contract Documents, on or before July 31, 2024, at 10:00 AM.  
A non-compulsory pre-bid meeting and site visit will be held on June 26, 2024, at 10:00 AM.  This pre-bid meeting will be held at the BQN Airport Manager Conference Room, Passenger Terminal Building (2nd Floor), at the Rafael Hernandez Airport, Aguadilla, PR.  PRPA strongly encourages prospective bidders to attend the pre-bid conference and site visit.
In order to participate, prospective bidders should request bidding documents and drawings by completing and submitting copy of the bidder's registration form, included as part of this advertisement, to the following email, Elcolon@prpa.pr.gov, until July 17, 2024, at 4:00 PM.  Bidding documents and drawings will be available for request and distribution on or after June 10, 2024, at 8:00 AM.  Bidders are advised that they must be registered as possessors of the contract documents for the project and possessors of all such amendments.
Date limit for Requests for Further Information (RFI) is July 17, 2024, at 4:00 PM.  RFI should be addressed by email to the following address: Elcolon@prpa.pr.gov.
The Bid Opening will take place on July 31, 2024, at 10:30AM at the Deputy Executive Director Conference Room of the Puerto Rico Ports Authority, Central Office (2nd Floor), at Isla Grande, San Juan, PR.  All bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud by the Bids Board that the same day at the Bid Opening.
The successful bidder must submit to the Puerto Rico Ports Authority the required contract documents within ten (10) working days after the date of the Notice of Award.
