In accordance with Act 125 of May 7, 1942, as amended, and Regulation 8981 of PRPA Bids and Request for Proposals, the Puerto Rico Ports Authority (PRPA) is requesting competitive bids from contractors, for the above-referenced project.
The project consists of the pavement rehabilitation of a portion of the Runway 8-26 and the General Aviation Apron, at the Rafael Hernandez Airport (BQN). The Runway pavement rehabilitation includes the pavement mill and overlay of approximately 36,000 square yards. The General Aviation Apron pavement rehabilitation includes the pavement mill and overlay of 8,400 square yards. These scope items are in accordance with contract documents, layout, and technical specifications.
Bidders of this project shall submit the Proposal, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders contained in the Contract Documents, on or before June 25, 2024, at 10:00 AM.  
A non-compulsory pre-bid meeting will be held on June 5, 2024, at 10:00 AM.  This pre-bid meeting will be held at the Conference Room, PRPA Engineering Building (2nd Floor), at Isla Grande, San Juan.  PRPA strongly encourages prospective bidders to attend the pre-bid conference.
In order to participate, prospective bidders should request bidding documents and drawings by completing and submitting copy of the bidder's registration form, included as part of this advertisement, to the following email, Elcolon@prpa.pr.gov, until June 14, 2024, at 4:00 PM.  Bidding documents and drawings will be available for request and distribution on or after May 29, 2024, at 8:00 AM.  Bidders are advised that they must be registered as possessors of the contract documents for the project and possessors of all such amendments.
Date limit for Requests for Further Information (RFI) is June 14, 2024, at 4:00 PM.  RFI should be addressed by email to the following address: Elcolon@prpa.pr.gov.
The Bid Opening will take place on June 25, 2024, at 10:30AM at the Deputy Executive Director Conference Room of the Puerto Rico Ports Authority, Central Office (2nd Floor), at Isla Grande, San Juan, PR.  All bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud by the Bids Board that the same day at the Bid Opening.
The successful bidder must submit to the Puerto Rico Ports Authority the required contract documents within ten (10) working days after the date of the Notice of Award.
