In accordance with Act 125 of May 7, 1942, as amended, and Regulation 8981 of PRPA Bids and Request for Proposals, the Puerto Rico Ports Authority (PRPA) is requesting competitive bids from contractors, for the above-referenced project.
The project consists of the pavement rehabilitation of airport's access road, parking area and East Apron at the Antonio (Nery) Juarbe Pol Airport in Arecibo, Puerto Rico.  Pavement rehabilitation in airport's access road and parking area consist in milling and placing new bituminous concrete. The rehabilitation of pavement in east apron consists in full-depth removal of bituminous concrete and replacing it with a new pavement structure.  In addition, extend the apron furthest east with a new pavement structure.  Other works in the airfield include painting new apron markings, reconditioning of existing tiebacks and installing new lighting for the East Apron.  General sitework includes replacing the parking area wheel stops, new parking stall markings and site signage.
Bidders of this project shall submit the Proposal, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders contained in the Contract Documents, on or before May 30, 2024, at 10:00 AM.  
A non-compulsory Pre-Bid Meeting and Site Visit will be held on May 8, 2024, at 10:00 AM (Local PR Time - AST).  This pre-bid meeting and site visit will be held at Antonio (Nery) Juarbe Pol Airport facilities in Arecibo, PR.  PRPA strongly encourages prospective bidders to attend the pre-bid conference.
In order to participate, prospective bidders should request bidding documents and drawings by completing and submitting copy of the bidder's registration form, included as part of this advertisement, to the following email, rrivera@prpa.pr.gov, until May 17, 2024, at 4:00 PM.  Bidding documents and drawings will be available for request and distribution on or after May 1, 2024, at 2:00 PM.  Bidders are advised that they must be registered as possessors of the contract documents for the project and possessors of all such amendments.
Date limit for Requests for Further Information (RFI) is May 17, 2024, at 4:00 PM.  RFI should be addressed by email to the following address: rrivera@prpa.pr.gov.
The Bid Opening will take place on May 30, 2024, at 10:30AM at the Deputy Director Conference Room of the Puerto Rico Ports Authority, Central Office (2nd Floor), at Isla Grande, San Juan, PR.  All bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud by the Bids Board that the same day at the Bid Opening.
The project is conditioned upon the receipt of federal funding under provisions of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Airport Improvement Program (AlP).  Certain mandatory federal requirements apply to this solicitation and will be made part of any contract awarded.
