The Department of Economic Development and Commerce of Puerto Rico (DDEC by its acronym in Spanish) seeks proposals from qualified individuals and/or legal entities interested and with expertise in planning, designing and implementing an island wide forum for STEM approach, targeting out of school youth and postsecondary institutions.   All services performed by a selected Respondent must comply with applicable federal requirements and with all GOVERNMENT OF PUERTO RICO laws and regulations.  Any service agreement, if awarded, will be based on the factors stated in this RFP.  A more detailed description of the contract terms is provided in the RFP package.   The RFP package may be obtained from the DDEC, on business days at the Labor Development Program Office located on the 2nd floor of the PRIDCO Building, 355 F. D. Roosevelt Avenue, San Juan P.R. from May 11, 2017, to May 12, 2017 from 8:00 a.m.to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Responses to this RFP should be prepared in accordance with the attached instructions and will be evaluated by the DDEC as described in this RFP and otherwise in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Proposals will be held in confidence and not released for public review until after the final award is made.  DDEC shall be the sole judge of each Respondent’s conformance with the requirements of the RFP and of the merits of the individual proposals.
