​​The PRHTA is issuing this Request for Proposals (“RFP") to solicit technical and price proposals to obtain turnkey equipment and services to provide Transit 800MHz Public Safety Radio System Replacement Services for Tren Urbano.Specifications, proposal forms, and all other necessary information may be obtained at the Board of Awards Office of the Authority; on the Eleventh Floor, Suite 1103 of the mentioned address, telephone number (787) 721-8787 extension 1130, from the date of this advertisement until two (2) working days prior to the opening of bids. THESE DOCUMENTS WILL BE AVAILABLE ONLY IN DIGITAL FORMAT TO BE DOWNLOADED FROM A LINK THAT WILL BE SENT BY EMAIL.             Proponents shall submit their proposals at the Office of the Board of Awards on the Eleventh Floor of the Authority on or before 10:00 am of  July 14, 2020.  The proposals will be opened  on a virtual (WEBEX) meeting at 10:00 am of July, 15, 2020.  An invitation in order to access the meeting will be sent to those proposers who delivered their proposals.      A non-mandatory virtual (WEBEX or similar application) pre-proposal conference will be held at  10:00 am on  June 16, 2020.  An invitation in order to access the meeting will be sent to those proposers that has request its registration at the Board of Awards Office. Although non-mandatory, attendance to this meeting is highly recommendable.​Each proposal must be accompanied by a proposal security (Bid Bond), certified check, or money order in the amount of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00) and subject to the conditions of this process, in the name of the Puerto Rico Highway and Transportation Authority. Copy of an updated certification for the Bidders Register from the General Services Administration shall be included.The Puerto Rico Highway and Transportation Authority complies with regulation included in 49 CFR Part 26 for Disadvantaged Business Enterprises.
