This Request for Proposal (“RFP”) is an invitation to prospective marine vessels’owners (“Proponent”) to submit a Proposal for a term hire lease of a bareboatpassenger vessel (“Vessel”) with a capacity of 200 – 320 passengers for a oneyearcontract with an option to extend on a month-to-month basis (“Contract”).The Puerto Rico and Island Municipalities Maritime Transport Authority (“PRMTA”or “Authority”) is the public corporation responsible for the administration, operation andmaintenance of the assets of the ferry system that currently serve the Municipalities of Ceiba,Culebra and Vieques (“Island Service”) and the Municipalities of San Juan and Cataño (“MetroService”) (such assets, collectively, the “Ferry System”). The Authority seeks to lease abareboat vessel to supplement its fleet for the ferry transportation services between theMunicipalities of Ceiba, Vieques and Culebra, and Puerto Rico.Interested parties are invited to submit Proposals in accordance with the guidelines describedthroughout this RFP, on or before October 8, 2020 at 5:00 pm (AST).
