The Puerto Rico and Island Municipalities Maritime Transport Authority ("PRMTA")  seeks to design and purchase up to three (3) new vessels that will be added to the agency's fleet to improve its overall quality of service and passenger experience (the “Project"). This Request for Proposal (“RFP") is an invitation to prospective firms that provide professional Naval Architectural/Engineering Services, Project Management, and Quality Inspection Services with experience in vessel design (“Proponent") to submit a Proposal for the preliminary design (up to 30% completion) of ferry vessels for the procurement and purchase of up to three (3) new ferry vessels to be used for public transportation by the PRMTA. Services will also include assessment of current vessels, development of a Rehabilitation Plan, and assistance during the procurement process. Services may also include construction contract administration, management, and inspections.
