​On February 9, 2018, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) allocated $1,507,179,000 tothe Government of Puerto Rico in Community Development Block Grant for Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) fordisaster recovery assistance. On April 10, 2018, Congress made available to Puerto Rico an additional $18.5 billion inCDBG-DR funds. The parameters within which the $18.5 billion may be spent is to be outlined in forthcoming federalguidelines and its proposed uses will be determined in PRDOH action plans.The Municipality of Cayey has opted to participate in the Home Repair, Reconstruction, or Relocation ProgramInspection Services (R3 Program) through a Sub-Recipient Agreement (SRA) executed with the PRDOH on June 14,2019. The Municipality will participate in the R3 Program by means of inspecting the repair and construction worksperformed within its limits. This RFP seeks to procure Inspection Services for demolition, abatement, repair, andreplacement home construction works under the R3 Program.
