In compliance with Regulation 9230 issued by Puerto Rico General Services Administration (ASG, as Spanish abbreviation by initials) and applicable statements from Act No. 73-2019, Public Buildings Authority (PBA) invites all interested professional engineers and engineering design firms to submit qualifications statement responses for structural design services related to proposed seismic mitigation for non-damaged PBA schools, located thru several municipalities of Puerto Rico, in strict compliance with Act No. 173, approved on August 12, 1988, as amended, which regulates the public and private practice of engineering profession in Puerto Rico by individuals and firms. Requested professional engineering design services include but are not limited to buildings inspection, compilation of existing plans and technical reports, preparation and submission of as-built drawings, execution of materials testing, seismic evaluations, and structural reinforcement recommendations, all in compliance with ASCE 41-17 (including three (3) evaluation levels: TIER 1, TIER 2, and TIER 3), and ASCE 7-16 codes. Also, selected professionals or firms must be capable to perform the following kind of structural analysis: Linear Static, Linear Dynamic, Non-Linear Static and Non-Linear Dynamic. All requested services must be provided in accordance with all updated applicable federal, state, and local engineering standards, codes, laws, and regulations.
